Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and anxiety-based disorders more generally, can lead to high levels of impairment and lower quality of life. Some forms of anxiety and more severe presentations make treatment gains in weekly ‘individual therapy’ difficult. Better Living’s IOP programs help reduce anxiety symptoms while increasing quality of life.
Better Living IOP programs rely heavily on exposure and response prevention (ERP). Clients receive approximately 12 hours of exposure and response prevention (ERP) weekly. Group therapy is also included in our intensive outpatient programs for adults.
Treatment in Better Living’s IOP programs include:
- Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)
- Family education sessions
- Group therapy (for Adults)
We offer morning and afternoon Adult and Adolescent IOP sessions that run Monday – Friday. Morning IOP runs 9 am -12 pm. Afternoon IOP runs 1 pm – 4 pm. Adults have group therapy sessions while teens do not. Throughout intensive outpatient sessions clients are asked to work with a behavior specialist and individually on exposures. This is an evidence-based method of increasing the likelihood that your treatment gains transfer outside of the treatment into your daily life.
