Kacie is a Behavior Therapist with the Better Living Center for Behavioral Health. Kacie obtained her Bachelor of Behavioral Science degree from Hardin-Simmons University where she was a Member of the Three-Time ASC Conference Champion Volleyball Team. Concluding her under undergraduate career, Kacie obtained her Master of Science degree from The University of North Texas in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. Kacie has worked with individuals struggling with a wide variety of mental health concerns in both a private practice setting and on The University of North Texas campus at the counseling center. Kacie Cheairs is a Licensed Professional Counselor- Intern under the supervision of Amanda Esquivel, LPC-S (TX License # 68781).
Kacie is committed providing clients with quality care through empathic understanding and thoughtful intervention. Kacie strives to build the therapeutic relationship through a collaborative process to help equip clients with the necessary tools needed to achieve a more fulfilling life. Kacie knows that no two clients are the same, and she takes each clients individuality into account when developing a treatment plan for lasting change. Kacie has experience working with clients who suffer from various mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, bipolar, borderline personality disorder and substance abuse disorders. Kacie also has experience working with clients struggling with certain phase of life issues, relationship stressors, women’s emotional health issues and those with concerns regarding vocational development. Kacie is very passionate about conveying herself as a non-judgmental and open therapist to allow her clients to feel safe and comfortable while working with her. She strives to be culturally competent and respect the unique backgrounds of each of her clients. Ultimately, Kacie is dedicated to making a positive impact on her clients lives and will do her best to ensure each client leaves treatment feeling better than they did before.
