Marlaina is a Behavior Therapist with the Better Living Center for Behavioral Health. Marlaina obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Texas A&M – Commerce. Marlaina has worked with clinically complicated populations including individuals in homeless shelters. She has also provided care to students at Eastfield College. Marlaina Mueller is a Licensed Professional Counselor- Intern under the supervision of Under the supervision of Amanda Esquivel, LPC-S (TX License # 68781).
Marlaina is dedicated to providing clients with quality care through empathetic understanding and intervention. Marlaina believes in meeting the client where they are, to assist and guide, along their journey towards improved functioning and a more satisfying life. Marlaina has experience working with clients with have anxiety disorders, OCD, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, and personality disorders. She has also worked with clients facing gender identity confusion and relationship disruption. Marlaina strives to be an inclusive therapist for individuals of all backgrounds. She offers an open, affirming, and non-judgmental stance in working with her clients towards their wellbeing.
