Fees & Policies
Contact us at the number listed above or use the chat window to make an inquiry and we’ll contact you back as soon as possible. The first step to any level of treatment is typically an evaluation appointment. From there, you will be assigned a therapist and a treatment level will be suggested given your level of symptoms and presentation.
Treatment days or appointments that are canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice are not refundable. Please note that if you are paying with insurance, your insurance may not cover the fee for a missed session or failure to reschedule within an appropriate time period. Should that occur, you are responsible for covering the session fee.
We offer many levels of treatment. We are paneled with an increasing number of insurance companies; however, each insurance plan is unique. Even if you currently have an insurance that we accept, we will need to check your deductibles and coverage. It is your responsibility to know your limits and coverage. Any services not covered by your insurance will be billed to you.
We are currently accepting clients paying by:
– Self-pay / Cash pay
– BlueCross BlueShield
– For higher levels of treatment, a “single-case agreement” (SCA) with your insurance company due to the lack of availability of in-network providers offering evidence-based treatment for anxiety and related disorders.
Note that some insurance policies ask for *pre-authorization* of services. In most cases, pre-authorization does mean that your insurance is going to ‘pay for services.’ In most cases, insurance companies may decide at any time for many reasons that they will not cover services. You are responsible for understanding your benefits.
Residential Support includes 24 hour a day support, 7 days a week. Programming includes that included in Day Treatment as well as some additional weekend programming and night support. Residential Support is currently only available to adults. Clients must fit specific criteria to be able to enter our Residential Support program. Please note that our Residential Support program is specialized for individuals with severe anxiety disorders and those who wish to seek care with our facility but live far from the facility. Your insurance may not consider our Residential Support program to meet their requirements for ‘Residential’ services. For an example schedule of our Residential Support Programming, click here.
For many, Day Treatment is a large but important investment in the rest of their lives. The cost of Day Treatment is approximately $4,500 (self – pay) a week for 5 days a week (M-F) 6 hours of care each day. Day Treatment includes group treatment 2 hours of the 6 hours per day of treatment. The other 5 hours are spent engaged in exposure therapy. Please note that exposure therapy works best when you are able to work with multiple clinicians and also complete exposures individually. This supports better “generalization”, or transfer of treatment gains, to life situations. Our treatment programs are structured around this and should not be mistaken for 6 hours of individual therapy per day or 6 hours of group didactics (teaching-based learning) per day. Group didactic-based Intensive Outpatient Programs are generally meant to teach basic skills and there are many in the surrounding area. Specialized evidence-based higher level treatment for anxiety at a programatic level is only available, to our knowledge, at two centers in Texas (Houston OCD McLean and ourselves). Individuals in Day Treatment may have 1-2 individual sessions with their primary therapist per week AND a family session per week, scheduled within their programming hours. Please note that coordination of care and additional requests that do not fit into regular programming are charged at the rate for those services.
If we are in-network for your insurance plan or a single-case agreement is obtained with your insurer, your out-of pocket expenses may be much less than the cash pay rate of sessions. The rate for your treatment if you are network is set by contract with your insurance company, for your particular plan. You will be able to get a statement of your insurance benefits as provided to us from public sources, prior to engaging in higher level treatment. Please note, if your insurance rejects payment of their negotiated rate – you are ultimately responsible for payment of any non-covered services.
Additionally, many insurance companies reimburse for services. We can provide you with billing documentation to help you pursue reimbursement. This kind of documentation is called a “Superbill” and is created for those pursuing reimbursement from their insurance company themselves. Superbills are processed at the end of the month for completed treatment days in the previous month(s). Note that reimbursement is between you and your insurance company entirely. We can support your attempts to obtain reimbursement by speaking to your insurance company, submitting, records, etc – but having us assist in helping you gain reimbursement may include calls to your insurance, transmission of records, and further communications with yourself. These activities can take significant clinician time and resources and are charged according to our normal payment policies. Please note that billing occurs at regular intervals and documentation will follow by mail.
Day Treatment is available for adults and adolescents age >13 years and above.
Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Treatment
Intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) is approximately $2,250 per week for cash pay. If we are in-network with your provider or your provider accepts a single-case agreement with us, your out of pocket expenses may be much less. Our IOP program includes 1 hour of group therapy each day. As with Day Treatment, sessions are structured around evidence-based treatment of anxiety and related disorders. That is, most of your treatment time will include working on exposures both individually and with a variety of on-staff support clinicians. Individuals in IOP are able to schedule 1 individual session and 1 family session per week during their treatment hours. Please note that coordination of care and additional requests are charged at the rate for those services.
If we are in-network for your insurance plan or a single-case agreement is obtained with your insurer, your out-of-pocket expenses may be much less than the full rate of sessions. Additionally, many insurance companies reimburse for our services. We can provide you with billing documentation to help you pursue reimbursement. Reimbursement is never guaranteed and is between you and your insurance company. Please note that billing occurs at regular intervals and documentation will follow by mail.
IOP is available for adults and adolescents age >13 years and above.
If we have available spots for individual sessions treatment with our clinicians, the cash pay rate to see most of our rate clinicians is $150/hour. Booster sessions (30 minute sessions) or longer exposure sessions may sometimes be booked. These clinicians typically need to respond to program and training needs, thus their availability and rate is adjusted accordingly.
As with our other levels of treatment, if we are in-network for your insurance plan your out-of-pocket expenses may be much less than the full rate of sessions. Many insurance companies may reimburse for services. We can provide you with billing documentation to help you pursue reimbursement. Reimbursement is never guaranteed and is between you and your insurance company, should you be out-of-network.
Please note that any contact with clinicians in-between sessions that is not explicitly limited to scheduling or rescheduling appointments will result in coordination of care charges at a rate of $37.50 per 15 minutes. The minimum unit charge is 15 minutes.
Individual sessions are offered for children age 9 years and above, adolescents, and adults depending on availability and clinical needs.
